Flowix vs Garage 61:
Which Fits Your Racing?

Garage 61 is the benchmark for community telemetry in iRacing: a small Windows agent, browser analysis and a huge shared lap database. Flowix offers a similar record-in-the-background, analyse-in-the-browser workflow for Automobilista 2, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa EVO and RaceRoom, which Garage 61 does not cover.

Free Means Every Feature

The free plan is not a trial or a cut-down version. Every analysis feature is free, including the AI connector. PRO only changes how long detailed telemetry is stored and who can see it.

Included for free

  • Automatic 60 Hz recording in AMS2, AC, AC EVO and RaceRoom
  • Full lap analysis: every channel, lap overlays, 2D/3D track maps and sector splits
  • Personal bests, global leaderboards and comparison with other drivers' public laps
  • Share links and CSV / CSVY export
  • The AI race engineer connector
  • Lap times, sessions and personal bests are kept with no time limit

The only free-plan limits

  • Detailed telemetry traces are kept for 14 days, or 7 days for non-clean laps (PRO: 1 year). Laps in the top 10 of a track-and-car leaderboard keep their traces longer. Lap times, sessions and personal bests are kept forever.
  • 500 MB of telemetry storage, about 1,500 laps at the average lap size; space comes back as old traces expire (PRO: 5 GB).
  • Your traces are visible to other drivers (PRO can make them private).
  • AI calculations use shared server capacity; PRO requests also get reserved capacity when the service is busy.

Ask Your Own Questions

Most telemetry tools stop at graphs you interpret yourself, or at tips in a pre-set format: you get the analysis the tool was built to give, and you cannot ask a follow-up. Flowix connects the AI assistant you choose to your laps, so it answers the question you actually have and works out non-standard analysis from your data when you need it.

Questions you can ask about your own laps

  • “Why was my best lap at Spa faster than the laps I drove today?”
  • “Where do I lose time against the leaderboard leader in my car?”
  • “Am I locking the fronts into the hairpins? Walk me through my braking zones.”
  • “The outside edge of my front tyres runs hot. What could I change?”
  • “Compare my minimum speed in every corner with my best lap and rank the gaps.”
  • “Based on this week's sessions, what should I practise next?”

The AI can run its own calculations on any channel for a one-off question, so you are not limited to built-in reports. Answer quality depends on the model you connect; larger models give better coaching.

How the AI Race Engineer Works

Architecture: two lightweight agents for different sims

Flowix

Flowix reads the shared memory of AMS2, AC, AC EVO and RaceRoom with a native tray agent and uploads each finished lap. Analysis runs in the browser on any device.

Garage 61

Garage 61 follows the same model for iRacing: a small Windows agent records in the background and a web app does the analysis, including on phones and tablets.

Telemetry fidelity and channel availability

Flowix

Flowix stores vehicle-dynamics channels such as tyre carcass temperatures, damper velocity and ride height for every sim that exposes them; AMS2 exposes the full 57-channel set.

Garage 61

Garage 61 works with what iRacing provides and focuses its analysis on driving lines, inputs, fuel and tyre statistics, backed by an enormous comparison database.

Analysis workflow: AI conversation vs comparison database

Flowix

Besides the analysis page, Flowix lets an AI assistant read your laps through the MCP connector, spot trends across sessions and build practice plans.

Garage 61

Garage 61's strength is comparing against fast laps from its huge iRacing community, with ghost laps, filters and team sharing.

Which One Should You Choose?

When to Choose Garage 61

  • You race iRacing: Garage 61 is built for it and Flowix does not support it.
  • You want to compare against a huge pool of laps from other drivers.
  • You run a team and want shared data and setups.

When to Choose Flowix

  • You race AMS2, AC, AC EVO or RaceRoom and want the Garage 61-style workflow there.
  • You want tyre thermal and suspension channels in your analysis.
  • You want to ask an AI assistant about your laps.

Flowix vs Garage 61 FAQ

Flowix is an independent product, not affiliated with Garage 61, but the workflow is similar: a background agent records your laps and you analyse them in the browser. It supports AMS2, AC, AC EVO and RaceRoom.

No. If you race iRacing, Garage 61 is the natural choice; Flowix covers the four sims listed above.

Yes, with a short link that opens the lap in any browser. Flowix has no dedicated team workspace like Garage 61 Pro.
