How to Install & Authorize the Agent

Download & Install

Download FlowixAgentSetup.zip, unpack the archive, and run the setup installer on your Windows PC.

Silent Tray Execution

The agent runs silently in the Windows system tray. It waits quietly in the background until your simulator starts.

Click "F" & Authorize

After installation, the F icon in your Windows system tray is red. Click it and choose Login… to sign in on flowix.com and authorize the agent. The icon turns blue when it is ready.

STEP BY STEP

Installing the Flowix Telemetry Agent on Windows

  1. Download the archive. Click Download FlowixAgentSetup.zip. Your browser saves it to the Downloads folder. The file is about 1.3 MB, so it takes a second.
  2. Unpack the ZIP. Open Downloads, right-click FlowixAgentSetup.zip and choose Extract All…, then Extract. A new folder opens with the setup program inside. Run it from the extracted folder, not from inside the ZIP window.
  3. Run the installer. Double-click the setup .exe. If Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen, click More info → Run anyway (see troubleshooting below). Accept the license and keep the default folder. The agent installs for your Windows user only, so you do not need administrator rights.
  4. Finish and launch. On the last screen keep “Launch Telemetry Agent and open registration page” ticked and click Finish. The agent starts, and the F icon appears in the system tray next to the clock.
  5. Authorize the agent. See the next section. Until you do, the agent cannot upload laps.

Red Icon? Authorize the Agent

After installing, the tray icon is red. That is normal: it means the agent is running but is not linked to your Flowix account yet.

  1. Click the red F icon in the system tray and choose Login… (the installer may already have opened this page).
  2. Sign in or create a free account on flowix.com in your browser.
  3. Approve the agent. You will see “Authorization Successful”.

The icon turns blue. You only do this once per PC; the agent remembers the authorization and, with Auto start enabled in the tray menu, starts with Windows.

Prepare Your Simulator

Automobilista 2

Go to Options → System → Shared Memory and select Project CARS 2. Without it the agent receives no data.

Assetto Corsa

Nothing to change. Works from Steam or Content Manager.

Assetto Corsa EVO

Nothing to change. Start the game and go on track.

RaceRoom

Telemetry is on by default. Launch it from Steam and leave the pits.

Drive a full lap. Each lap uploads when you cross the line and shows up on your dashboard within seconds.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Common Problems and Fixes

SmartScreen warns about programs that few people have downloaded yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. Only do this for installers you downloaded from flowix.com.

You are probably running it from inside the ZIP. Extract the archive first (right-click → Extract All…) and run the setup from the extracted folder. If the browser marked the download as unsafe, choose Keep in the downloads list.

The agent is not authorized. Click the icon, choose Login… and approve it in the browser, as described above.

Windows hides new tray icons. Click the ^ arrow next to the clock and drag the F icon onto the taskbar. If it is not there, the agent is not running: open the Start menu and launch Flowix Telemetry Agent.

Laps upload only when you cross the finish line, so complete a full lap. In Automobilista 2 check that Shared Memory is set to Project CARS 2. Make sure a firewall or VPN is not blocking the agent from reaching flowix.com.

Some antivirus tools flag new programs by default. Restore the file from quarantine, add %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\FlowixAgent to the exclusions and run the installer again.

To update, download the latest ZIP and run the new installer over the old version. To remove, open Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Flowix Telemetry Agent and click Uninstall.

Once authorized, the agent automatically detects when you enter your simulator (Automobilista 2, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa EVO or RaceRoom), captures 60 Hz telemetry, and sends them to the cloud at the completion of each lap. Review your telemetry, track records, and compare laps with friends on your Flowix dashboard.
